Alen’s Painted Shadow is a 14 year old, registered Tennessee Walking horse gelding that stands 15’2 hands tall. Shadow has been trail ridden extensively his whole life. There isn’t a place that we’ve taken Shadow that he wouldn’t go. He has been with the same family for the last 8 years and has taught their children how to ride. My mother in law babysits, and the kids that she watches, has had so much fun riding him. He is well broke in the saddle, as well as on the ground. He leads, loads in our stock trailer, stands exceptionally well for our farrier, as well as to be tacked up, and mounted and dismounted. He easily trims and bathes as well. Shadow has a nice walk, running walk, slow smooth gait, and canter. He will also back up and neck reins decently for a gaited horse. We have swam with him in the Green River, jumped off his back into the river while doing a cannonball and he will stand like a statue. He is one you can easily pull up to a picnic table and mount and dismount. We have shot three different kinds of guns off of him and he has done absolutely excellent. You couldn’t ask for one to do any better. He is kind on the road while meeting traffic, will go up the steepest hills, has been around screaming kids, barking dogs, ATVs, machinery, etc. This is truly an honest family horse and one that will make a great addition to anyone’s herd. He is one that you can show at the fun shows on Saturday night and trail ride on Sunday afternoons. He is a gentle giant. He is up to date with our farrier and is shod on all four feet with keg shoes. He will come with current vaccinations, that include a 5-Way (which covers Eastern and Western Viruses), West Nile and Rabies, current negative coggins, current pre-purchase exam, and a health certificate.
